My official residence is in Minnesota (MN drivers license, voted absentee in MN) but I have been living in WA since mid-2019. Do I still need to pay MN State Taxes?

I moved to WA for a construction project with my job. Initially I was planning to go back to MN in May 2021 (which is why I never changed my license), but now I plan to continue living in WA and make it my permanent residence.

Your tax home last year was clearly Washington. However, maintain documentation of your residency in case Minnesota asks. The easiest proof would be any home (or apartment) you were maintaining in Washington in 2020 combined with all of your income being sourced there.
