It depends. If the California (CA) taxes are going to change or be removed, you can file now. Take care of the CA return later because you will get a full refund if the new W-2 still has CA withholding.
If the taxes for your resident state are going to change, you may want to file to eliminate any late filing fees and then amend as soon as you get a corrected W-2. The only concern is if you do owe tax on your resident return there could be late payment fees if it's not all paid by today.
You always have the option of filing the federal now and the states later.
