Michigan Homestead Tax Credit Form MI 1040CR won't allow me to add my medical insurance premiums. Federal return says to take the standard deduction and won't let me add medical insurance premiums there.
My Affordable Care Act health insurance premiums show up and so does the auto insurance medical premium but no where can I add in my medical insurance premiums that I can find.

Don't know where to go from here.
Thanks.
Sorry for being unclear.
I entered medical expenses through Federal / Deductions & Credits / Medical / Medical Expenses.
I came to the screen Did you spend more than $xx on medical expenses in 2022? and answered Yes.
I cycled through the medical expense questions and entered medical premiums at the screen How much did you spend on insurance premiums?
Yes, everything I tried to do was on the federal return. On the federal return I went to deductions and credits. Then to medical, then medical expenses and hit update. It just goes to "We checked, and this deduction won't affect your taxes." I even found where I could change to itemized instead of standard deduction and it didn't change the selections. No where can I find Did you spend more than $xx on medical expenses in 2022?
I did try a new tax return without transferring last year's return and the questions came up. Maybe I can just start a new return and not transfer any information from last year and type everything in again myself from scratch. Will I still have the free state return tho?
I am not able to see your tax return(s) to see what may be causing the conflict.
If you start over with a new tax return, you will be able to see what the fee is before attempting to electronic file.
Make sure that you do not remove any current data from the first tax return until you successfully e-file the second tax return. You may need to return to the first tax return data.
Good luck.
I called TurboTax now that I knew exactly what the problem was thanks to your help. They showed me where to go in forms to just add the amount to Schedule A and it worked. I couldn't fix the problem by searching for Schedule A and jumping to it. However, they had me go to View at the top and select Forms which took me to a fillable Schedule A. Thanks for all your help!
