Michigan delayed refund

My Michigan State 2018 refund has been pending since April 2019.
I sent back forms, paper and signatures they wanted about my health insurance. Now it finally says in process. BUT.. estimated completion is 10/2019!!! What is going on? I do not get any answers from letters. Everything is computer generated and very vague. Trying to call is a joke.
Has anyone else had this long of a delay and found out why??

delayed refunds are not uncommon.  depending on when you sent in the additional paper work it could take 90 - 120 days  to issue refund. the additional paperwork you sent should give you an idea of what the state is trying to verify.  your only choices are to keep calling or just wait.     Once the IRS or a state has your return TT is out of the picture.
