Maryland Married Couple Deduction

My wife and I are full time Delaware Residents.

I earn income in Maryland; my wife does not.

Are we entitled to the $1200 deduction, a lesser amount or nothing?

thank you

Maryland Married Couple Deduction

No, it only applies if you both have taxable Maryland income.

Married couples filing a joint return, when both have taxable income, may subtract up to $1,200 or the income of the spouse with the lower income, whichever is less.
