My husband and I got married in 2018. How do we know if we are getting a tax credit for that?

There is not a tax credit for getting married, but when filing jointly, your standard deduction goes from $12,000 to $24,000 which is a big benefit. Also, many other credits have income limits for which you can take them. These limits raise substantially for married filing jointly.
