First, which form are you filing? The full-year/part-year resident (502) or the nonresident return (form 505)?
If the 502, on what line is the $63,671 appearing? Line 16? Line 20?
Have you found a worksheet entitled "Computation Worksheet Schedules I or II"? This is the alternative way to calculate your tax as opposed to the Tax Tables.
Have you accounted for the local (county tax) which appears on line 28?
Thanks for answering. The computational tables for MD are only good for incomes $100K and over. I know TT is using form 502, but I can't see the form. Is it possible to see form 502 before filing? Thank you!
If you are using the Online product and have not yet paid for it, then you cannot see the actual state forms, only a summary. To see the summary (which you may already be doing), click on Tax Tools on the left, then Tools below that, then View Tax Summary in the center, then View Maryland Summary (or whatever it says) on the left.
But are you filing as a resident or as a nonresident? You don't need to see the forms to know that.
And I need to know specific line numbers.
What line (or lines) have $63,671?
Are you saying that the tax listed is $4,519.93? On what line (or lines) does this appear?
Since we in the Community cannot see your private tax data, I won't know anything until you give me specifics from your return.
