Hi Experts,
I have four state returns to file this year. I already eFiled Federal and three state returns and all of them have been accepted. I'm aware that the number of state eFiling is limited at 3 in Desktop version but I'm looking for a way to eFile the fourth one. Can I just do File a Return again and eFile the fourth state? Looks like the software doesn't stop me from doing that. However it seems like I can't uncheck Federal return with the fourth state. Will it work if I proceed? Will the Federal return be efiled again and cause an issue? Thanks for your help.

You would have to print and mail the 4th State return. The Desktop software only lets you e-file up to three states per federal return, you can prepare and paper-file as many states as you want.
Our TurboTax Basic, Deluxe, Premier, and Home & Business CD/download software lets you prepare and paper-file as many state returns as you want.
However, it only lets you e-file returns for up to three different states for each federal return you prepare. The remainder will need to be paper-filed.
If e-filing multiple states is important to you, look into TurboTax Online; it lets you e-file and/or paper file up to five state returns per federal return.
Tip: When preparing multiple state returns for the same taxpayer(s), we recommend preparing the nonresident and part-year state return(s) before preparing the resident state.
TurboTax Online lets you prepare and file (electronically or on paper) up to five state returns per federal tax return.
If you need to prepare returns in six or more states, consider the TurboTax CD/Download software instead. Although the software only lets you e-file up to three states per federal return, you can prepare and paper-file as many states as you want.
Tip: When preparing returns in multiple states, it's best to do your nonresident and/or part-year resident state returns first, and your resident state last.
