International Student in both US - Canada in a year, can't determine tax residency

Hi everyone,

Thanks for help in advance.  My question is about US-Canada double residency (tax purpose).

I lived in US from 2022.1.1 to 2022.8.31. I was working on a salary and have investment. I think I am a US resident by tax purpose. I was on F1 student visa though.

I lived to Canada from 2022.9.1 to 2022.12.31. I was a full time student studying, without income. I moved my stocks however from US to Canada (interactive broker CA), and had transactions at loss. I think by Canada revenue agency's residency test here , I am also a tax resident in Canada? Although I have read from somewhere that Canada also has a 183 day rule, by which I should not be a tax resident in Canada.

My official residency and place of brith is PRC.

I am pretty sure that I have to file for US tax for 2022. I want to file for Canada tax as well to get credits and get ta reduction from my tuition to next year. My questions are:

1. Should I indicate that "I moved outside US" in turbotax? Lived in Washington State so probably doesn't matter for state tax.

2. Am I a tax resident or non-resident for Canada.

Thank you all very much. And apologize if there are some dumb questions.
