Why would TurboTax show that I still owe Illinois if I already paid over 7%? Illinois income was $22,522.43, and I paid $1614.37 which should be 7.16%. TurboTax is showing that I still owe $290.

You need to look at your tax form and check:

wages are correct

tax withheld correct

look for additional taxes in step 7

You may have typed a number wrong in the w2 entry or you may have a household employee and so on. We can't see your return to know what special situation may apply.
