If I work in Massachusetts, but live in NH and work exclusively in NH. Why are the Mass wages reported on W-2 more than 50% of my wages? i only worked 1 day in Mass.

I would like to apportion my wages based upon days physically worked in Massachusetts, but last year the Mass Dept of Revenue said I couldn't do that if my employer reported state wages on my W-2.

You would have to contact your employer regarding the Massachusetts wages, but the Department of Revenue is not correct that you must use the state wages on the W2.  I would continue to apportion the Massachusetts wages so that you pay the correct tax.  You may also want to contact the DOR Office of the Taxpayer Advocate to see if they can help you.
