I moved back to Florida in November 2023. I tried talking to my employer when I noticed Georgia withholding was still being taken from my paychecks in the new year of 2024. All my information at work in my files is updated to my Florida address and my employer can’t help me figure it out. Nothing says Georgia in my files. I did NOT live OR work in Georgia at all in 2024. They still took taxes out all year and they continue to take taxes out now in 2025. How do I get that money back?

You will have to file a Georgia nonresident tax return. On the Georgia return you need to enter 0 for income. You should receive a refund of all the GA state taxes withheld.
In the My Info section of the TurboTax online edition, when entering your personal information you will be asked if you made money in any other states, you need to answer Yes and then choose Georgia from the dropdown. This will allow the program to add the Georgia tax return to your account.
You will have to file a GA non-resident tax return, Form 500 to get a refund. Review the GA Department of Revenue 500 Individual Income Tax Return for additional information.
Refer to the TurboTax Help article How do I file a nonresident state return? for instructions.
