Hi doing my taxes with TT for the first time. Live in NJ work in Philly. I'm confused on how I should file state returns.

Pennsylvania and New Jersey have a reciprocal agreement- which means if you live in one state but work in the other you only have to file/pay in one state. If your employer withheld the New Jersey taxes, you would only have to file a New Jersey return. They should have also automatically taken the Philadelphia City tax as well.
Ok looking on my W-2 there’s no state tax paid to either NJ or PA. But there’s local income tax paid looks like to PA. In the past when my tax preparer was around I filed a NJ state return and we would usually get a very small return maybe like $40 or so. Still confused on how to do this in TT
You will want to file for New Jersey- when they ask if you worked in any other state just say NO, or if you get to the state tax part, delete the Pennsylvania return.
Don't know what's going on. Says $2966 NJ Tax Due.
Unfortunately, if you did not have any state taxes withheld, it is likely that you would owe. You may want to adjust your withholding so you do not owe next year.
@MaryK4looking at all my past returns and W-2's they all look similar and never ever had to pay NJ state.
Did you go through the New Jersey section of TurboTax to get all your deductions and credits?
