I live in NH and I'm trying to Apportioning MA Taxes

I live in NH and work for a company in MA. I worked in the office last year 35 days. The rest I worked remote. I'm trying to apportion the income. MA information states to multiply gross income by the number of days I worked remote. Then divide by the total number of working days. (For me is 229 days). In TurboTax there is a box to fill in for "Total Income to Apportion" Is the my gross pay minus the pay from the calculation? EX. If I made ($100,000 * 35) / 229 = $15,283.84. Is that the "Total Income to Apportion" or $100,000 - $15,283.84 = $84,716.16 ?

$15,283.84 you are entering the income you made in Massachusetts.

Thank you very much..

I'm going to continue on this since the MA forms show different values.

The $14,174 is what I calculated on what I made in MA for the # of days I worked in MA. This is what I thought I should  be apportioning, which would be my MA income. So why does it state that $2166 is my MA income?

When entering your state tax returns, when multiple states are involved, you should enter your nonresidential state tax return first (MA).

Then enter your residential state tax return (NH).

It is important that you prepare the nonresident state first, because your resident state will provide you a credit for the tax you pay to the nonresident state.  By preparing the nonresident state first, TurboTax can transfer the credit information to your resident state to return.

Did you do it this way?  TurboTax should ask you questions regarding how many days you worked in your nonresident state.
