I found a check from 2016 from the department of revenue it was my state tax, I didnt even know I had it, is there a way I can get a new one or what can i do?

You would need to call the state and ask them.

You can go the website for your state and they more than likely have posted the contact information. You should be able to call or email and ask the check to be reissued.  

You will want to do this promptly. I do not know what state you are in but the state may have classified your check as unclaimed property. Once that happens you have a limited amount of time to get it back.
