After you finish your federal return, you will automatically be prompted to file a state return, usually in the state where you live.

If you don't see the state you need to file on the Your state returns page, click Add another state near the bottom left. You can pick any state you need from the list.

Follow the on screen directions to complete your state return.

KY and WV have tax reciprocity.

If you live in WV and work in KY, and your income is entirely W2 earnings, you only need to file a WV tax return.

If that's your situation, in the personal info section of TT enter WV as your state of residence, and answer No to the question about having income from other states.

That will cause the program to generate a WV resident tax return.

Note: if your employer mistakenly withheld KY taxes, post back and we can help you with that.
