GOAL Education Expense Credit being deducted from paycheck

My GOAL contributions are deducted from my paycheck (and goes straight to the school) so on my W-2 it doesn't look like I've been paying the state enough. In fact, I owe the state money. Do I need to add my contribution back in somewhere to show that it was actually paid?

I found these instructions for entry on the GOAL website. Once you have entered the credit correctly, it is a dollar for dollar reduction in your tax bill.
