Filing State after amended federal

Can/should I adjust my state return, before filing? or submit state, then submit an amended state?

I noticed a small error on federal return after filing and accepted. I have not yet submitted the state.

I am submitting an amended federal return.

Should I try to change the state to make the one submittal? or submit and then amend the state. Like had to do with federal?
