My wife quit her job in ohio in November of 2018 and moved to Indiana to start a new job. She received a bonus check in 2019 from work performed in the job in ohio.
Since she was an Indiana resident for all of 2019 and worked in Indiana for all of 2019, do we need to file ohio state tax for the bonus check?

Yes, you may need to file the Ohio tax return because the bonus was for her work in Ohio in 2018. You may be able to apply the reciprocity rules if the income was reported on a W2. ( A full-year nonresident living in a Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Michigan or Pennsylvania does not have to file if the nonresident's only Ohio-sourced income is wages. ) Also, depending on the amount, it may be below the filing threshold.
I got a bonus payout from a company located in Maumee Ohio, and I live and work in Michigan. They took out both state and local taxes. Can I get the state refunded back, and I see that I can’t get the local back but can get MI credit. How do I do this in turbo tax to get the credit in MI state taxes for local, as well as get the Ohio refunded?
You will have to file an Ohio nonresident return and pay the Ohio tax on the Maumee income. Then you will be able to claim a credit for that tax on your Michigan resident return.
