My state was rejected because of the agi. It seems like the federal was already processed and money was deducted from my account of what I had to pay for federal taxes. As for the state I had to Mail it in. I’ve never had to Mail my taxes to the irs before. What happens next? I’m afraid to just sit around and wait. Will the irs send me a letter that they it had been processed?

Or is their anything else I can do to get the state processed done immediately? Or do I have to keep waiting?

Depending upon your situation, it will depend.  It sounds like you were able to electronically file your federal return and it was processed by the IRS.  However, it sounds like you needed to mail your state tax return in.

If this is correct, you will need to wait for the state return to be processed.  You cannot do anything to make the state process your return faster.

Please see the attached for more specific information as it applies to your particular state if you are expecting a refund from the state.
