energy credits for heat source

we bought both a biomass wood stove and a new heat pump in 2024. both told us we would get a 30% rebate. I have listed both and it is giving me a $2000 rebate. is that correct or is there something else i need to do?

Yes, that is correct. You can only claim ONE $2,000 home energy credit. The items that qualify for $2,000 cannot be combined to equal $4,000. You can combine the $1,200 credit with the $2,000 credit, but you cannot duplicate them.
