Hello everyone!
When I automatically imported my W2, it kept giving me an error for box e/f of the W2 (employee address), because it's foreign and unable to recognize my ZIP code/State. So, I tried to enter it manually, but I only see an option to change address type for employer's information, not employee. Anybody know how I can fix this? I can't find any solution for this online. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You!

The employee address on the W-2 is taken from the TurboTax Personal info you enter as your address. If the W-2 address is different from your address that you entered in TurboTax, it doesn't matter. What matters is the dollar amounts reported.
Hello,
first of all thank you for your help!
The problem is that I have done exactly what you show in the screenshot. I have entered my adress under "My Info" and marked it as a foreign country.
When I click on continue this window pops up:
When I then click on review, my W-2 pops up which already has my Street and City filled in - but it wants me to enter my Zip Code and/or State too:
It will not let me click on the drop down menu for "Foreign Country" (or write in the box) and when I try to enter my Zip Code or State (in Germany) it of course doesn't accept it as a valid entry.
Do you have any other suggestions on how to solve this?
Thanks a lot!
Did you delete the form W-2 before reentering? If not:
Find the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar and click on it
2. Click on Tools
3. Find Delete a Form and click on it
4. Look for form W-2 in the list of forms and click on the option to delete it
I have the exact same issue. I've tried deleting the form and re-adding it as suggested. I confirmed that my address in the "my info" section is identical to that on the W2 and set to a foreign address.
The issue is my mailing address (the employee address) is *not* american. It seems to only accept american state and postal codes for W2 addresses.
Any other suggestions? Thanks.
On the W-2 entry screen, for box f Employee's Address there is an Other "button". Make that choice, and then select the Foreign Address button to enter a foreign address.
Hi, I have the exact same unresolved problem. I don't see this "Other" button, either upon importing the W-2, or upon final review, where I'm stuck at. Can you please advise?
