Efiling an amended return

I am trying to efile my amended return for 2018, but it does nothing when I hit continue and it will not allow me to print it because I am in New York and it have to be done electronically.

First of all, you cannot e-file an amended return.  You have to print them out and submit them by mail.  

I am suspecting you might have been on the wrong path.  If you filed your original 2018 return with TurboTax, here is the path to amend:  Amend

I have the amend software.  My Federal amendment is done and printed.  NYS requires efiling of even amended returns.  If you are an expert, you should know this,.

TurboTax software cannot e-file your amended tax return, even for the state of New York.

It does, however, complete the New York state-approved forms for paper filed amended returns, which are allowed when e-file is not possible.
