Mom died November 2024. I used the $129 upgrade to prep mom's taxes online. Pretty easy, but when it came time to do the e-file (she will owe taxes) I noted that on the final 1040 there was no place to put my name. During the turbotax data submission, I did input my name as well as her date of death. Will that information be electronically transmitted to the IRS, even if I don't see it at the bottom of the 1040 form? I'm only concerned because if there are problems with the filing I want the IRS to contact me and not the address of the deceased at her time of death.

When you entered your name in Turbo Tax, you were indicating that you were filing the tax return on behalf of the decedent, when you entered the information, you attest that you have the right and responsibility to do so and file the return. TurboTax is for self-prepared returns which is why you are not listed as the Tax Preparer on the return.
