Hi! I am being required to fill in Part C on form 5806 even though no penalty is due because the corporation qualifies under Exception A, payment of last year's tax. This is preventing filing electronically which is required by California. How do I get around this? Thanks. Peter

i don't think there is a way around this. My suggestion is to print and mail the forms to California or contact a specialist that can order a diagnostic return to see if they can circumvent the issue.
Thanks for your help. was unable to figure out how to contact a specialist as the link was only for personal returns. Note that California required e-filing when using a computer program to prepare the return, so Quickbooks is in technical violation of the law. If you have a phone number, that would be great.
