CA state tax e file rejected

My CA state tax keeps getting rejected. I do not know how to fix this.

What is the rejection message/code?  Your state return cannot be accepted until your Federal one is.

There may be a software update, but you should have gotten an email mentioning why your return was rejected and how to correct it.  If you also don't submit your federal return first, it can cause your state return to be rejected.
