I use the TurboTax desktop (CD) version. I filed my Federal and State returns and both were accepted. After filing I received an additional 1099R. I amended and electronically filed the amendment. The Federal was accepted, but it does not appear the state amended return was submitted. How do I move forward to electronically submit the state return?

I need to amend my state return
I did the things mentioned in that article. The Federal amended return was filed and accepted. (I got the confirming email.) When I look in the forms list there is a state 1040X, but I have not received any reply that the state amended return was accepted nor did I get a notice that it was rejected. It has been 10 days. How to I find out if there are issues and if it has actually been accepted?
Could you share with us the state you are trying to amend? We will be happy to help you.
Iowa - - BTW when I do "Where's my Refund" on the Iowa Dept of Revenue site I can see my original return. When I do the same for the amended return there is no "hit."
TurboTax does not support e-filing of the IA 1040X. You will have to mail in your IA1040X with an attached Fed 1040X
Iowa doesn't accept Form IA 1040X, Amended Individual Income Tax Return, via e-file.
You do have the option to use the appropriate-year IA 1040 with the word "Amended" written at the top.
According to Iowa’s Amending Tax Returns page,
Attach the federal 1040X, if one was filed, and any amended supplementary federal or Iowa forms. If you amend on an IA 1040 form, also attach an IA 102 Amended Return Schedule.
Print and mail your return to:
Income Tax Document Processing
Iowa Department of Revenue
PO Box 9187
Des Moines IA 50306-9187
See How to Print your online return. In desktop, go to FORMS mode.
