I efiled federal and state (michigan)
I needed to amend my filing status
From Legally seperated (which marked me single) to Married Filing Separate
I followed the Amend directions and it took me to forms to print and mail but it seems only for Federal.
Also to mention there is no change in refund amount.
Questions is what forms need to be mailed to state?

Your Federal Amendment can be efiled, but not your state. You will send your amended Michigan form and corrected Michigan form to the state.
See this TurboTax FAQ for help with amending.
You can e-file your 2022 amended federal tax return, but most states require amendments to be printed and filed by mail.
You can check the status of your amended return here, but allow three weeks after filing for it to show up.
What forms exactly?????
To make corrections, file a Michigan Individual Income Tax Return (MI-1040) and check the Amended Return box at the top of page 1. Include the Michigan Amended Return Explanation of Changes (Schedule AMD) with all applicable schedules and supporting documents.
I did that and no forms printed for state at the end, only federal.
SO I should print just the revised 1040 (don't see a form 1040x for state) and the schedule AMD?
The State return (MI-1040) with the amended return box checked and Schedule AMD. Michigan does not have a MI-1040X.
Ok i see that the box at top right of return says Amended and it is marked. I had to save that and Sch AMD myself. Turbo tax never had me print it and the end of the amend section. Possibly a bug with that??
Thank you
I need to find a Schedule Form AMD form for State of Michigan in Turbo Tax Deluxe or can I find it in the
Mi.Gov forms?
Michigan's Schedule AMD is the same as its Form 5530, Amended Return Explanation of Changes.
It's available in TurboTax, and can be filed electronically. See TurboTax's Tax form availability app and Help article Can I e-file my amended state return? for more information.
The form is also available on Michigan's 2023 Individual Income Tax Forms and Instructions page.
