I recommend deleting your input, checking the amount of your South Carolina refund or tax due, and then re-entering the 529 contribution amount.
This amount should be entered under Income section.
If that still does not result in a change, please comment and we can help you trouble shoot it.
I actually had tried that several times last night and I have again today. The amount of refund remains the same with the contribution or without it.
Use the following steps to preview your SC return to see if you have already eliminated your SC taxable income. If so, then including the 529 contributions will not change your tax return. You can also check Line 5 of your SC1040 to see whether you have any SC taxable income.
