Hi team - I am a resident of IL, but involved in a real estate/rental partnership in Wisconsin. I am a limited partner. I have received a federal 1065 K-1, and also received a Wisconsin 3K-1. I have the Home & Business version TT and got IL as my free state, but bought WI as an add on because I received this form and it seems like I need to file it somehow. Unfortunately, when I go through the WI prompts, I'm unable to find anywhere to enter the information. I've searched on this forum, and have found some answers that seemed to be along the lines of what I needed to do. I got to the point where it states "Here's the income that Wisconsin handles differently"....according to some of the other answers, I should be able to go down to the "business" section on that screen and I'll see information about partnerships / LLC's. I do not.
If I go into the Investments section (vs Business), it first asks "Adjustments for Capital Gains and Losses?" and then it gives 6 reasons I may need to say "yes".....one of them is "You received Schedule(s) 5K-1, 3K-1, or 2K-1 with Wisconsin modifications." Of course, the answer to this is "YES"....but then it asks further questions throughout the process....and finishes without it asking for any of the 3K-1 information.
I'm on the phone with the help desk now, in minute 54, so I figured I'd try to document this and update it for anyone else who runs into this issue down the line.

Right as we were about to hit the 2 hour mark, and as I was talking to support....while they were "zooming" with upper level support....while I was sharing my screen....it hung up on me. Previous to that, we'd gone through the same steps I'd already tried several times.
The nice lady called back and said that they did research after I'd sent the "diagnostic file" to them...and two different upper level people stated that **I don't have to file a Wisconsin return**. This is very confusing and seems to contradict what Turbo Tax technology is saying. I hope they are right!
See page 4 for filing requirements Form 1NPR Instructions. You may not need to file a return.
I need to file WI non-resident state return in order to preserve NOLs. Having no easy way to enter Wisconsin K-1s through Turbotax is very troubling. Hopefully Turbotax can solve the problem with a simple updating.
