2022 Turbotax Desktop Deluxe e-filed my CA return, but according to FTB, Form 568 was not received

First off, I have been using TurboTax for literally 35 years (knew the original founders of MacInTax) so I know the program.  🙄

I have a SMLLC (just one!) and in for 2020 and 2021 my TurboTax Deluxe Desktop Mac version has e-filed my CA Form 568  without incident.  And for those years, if I alternately log in to my personal and LLC FTB accounts, I can see that that they received/processed both my state 540 and the LLC 568 on the same date as my e-filing.

About a week ago I e-filed, and while CA received--and already processed my refund--my FTB account for my LLC does not even show receipt of my 568.

And no, the little box (at the bottom of 568 pg.1-2) exempting me from e-filing 568 was not checked.

I have printed out and could mail in my 568, but I have read that e-filing for 568 is required these days. Is there some other form to print and mail along with my 568 so that it will be accepted?

I have read all the other threads here about problems with Form 568 e-filing so I know I am not alone.

Is it possible that the update that installed today fixed the problem? If so, too late because I already filed and I do not think TT gives an option to e-file just a 568.

Form 568 can be e-filed according to our form availability lookup tool. However, the K-1 cannot be e-filed and must be mailed in.

Sorry, that is not a helpful answer.  I do not file K-1 for my SMLLC.
Please reread the question and you will see that the issue is that TurboTax did not transmit my (fully verified and complete) Form 568 when I e-filed my California return.

Since I do not have time to waste, I have now completed the state’s e-file waiver application and am mailing in a printed copy of my form 568.

What I do not understand is that TT Deluxe properly e-filed my 568 in 2021 and 2020, but is failing for 2022.

Not that I am surprised: TT’s handling of the 568 has been inconsistent for years.  And overall TT has become miserable if you need to enter information in Forms mode (and I’m not just talking about form 568).  Ever try to tab from field to field?  It jumps all over in a wacky way. Have to do a chicken dance to get the cursor into some fields.

Clearly the whole program has been optimized for Easy-Step. 

I could list a whole page of very specific shortcomings and bugs of function which have stuck around for years.  But I manage to make the program work and only need to do my taxes once a year, so why bother making a fuss.  There was a period about 10 years ago when the product was near perfect, but with the push for everyone to use the online version the desktop versions have suffered neglect.

Oh well.  As I mentioned, I’ve been using the product for 35 years—and I was a software developer.
