You should include the entire amount that was considered spousal maintenance (alimony), even if it was redirected to a mortgage payment.

Any income that is considered child support (if any) should be excluded from your income.

when amending and issued a refund you have to pay back does the tax due amount include the payback of that refund ? Or add it yourself seperately?
