Why is my wife's income not included in the return when it had been entered?

When you prepare a joint return there are spots for each spouse’s income with your names by those spots. Make sure you entered the income correctly under each name in the software under your individual names so that your Socisl Security withheld is reported correctly. Your Form 1040 will not break down income by spouse names. The 1040
Will just show the total amount of income for you as a couple.
