Form 1099-R is entered in the same place whether it is reporting a distribution that you put in your account, or a distribution that was rolled over to another account, or a distribution that was converted to a different kind of account. The key is the information that is included on the Form 1099-R itself and your answers to all of the follow-up questions after you enter the information.
If you are entering information from a Form 1099-R for a rollover to a like-kind account, this is not the same thing as making a contribution to a retirement account. You should only enter this information in the Form 1099-R section.
