Where do i find the amount for credit for retirement savings contributions?

i did contribute to my 401 k but where do i find that information

First, make sure you have entered your W-2 information into TurboTax so the program knows you contributed to the plan.

Then, click on Federal>Deductions & Credits>Retirement and Investments.  The interview for that credit is under that heading (see screenshot).

The amount that TurboTax calculates as your Retirement Savings Contributions Credit will appear on Form 1040 line 51 or Form 1040A line 34.
