We need some additional information from you to better understand the issue. For example, are you in the Personal Information section of TurboTax, and after entering your name you are seeing some type of error message? Or is it a situation where the application does not appear to be responding to your inputs?
A useful remedy to many application issues is to clear your browser's cache and delete cookies. A full or corrupted cache can keep TurboTax from functioning properly. If that doesn't work, try a different browser such as Safari or Firefox if you're currently using Chrome and vice versa.
if the box is pink just click out side the box and it will turn white then enter address. try that.
Yeah, I saw this problem when I started on a carry-over 1099-R form in the "Online" software.
A lot of both the empty boxes, and the pre-filled boxes were pink.

The US address wouldn't move forward until I clicked on the type of address box, moving it back and forth between "Select" and then US address.
Then on the page with all the entry boxes for $$$...every box was pink and seemed to require $$, even those that were supposed to be empty....Took forever clicking back and forward and a side "x" by all the boxes that were supposed to be empty.
Even boxes with valid entries already in them, like box 7 code 7 , required messing around before one could continue.

Until TTX fixes this, "Online" users might need to be advised to delete any "empty" 1099-R forms transferred in from last year's file, and re-enter them manually.
