What should I type if Box (1b) Date Acquired is blank on Form 1099-B and Box 5 is unchecked?

This is a Long-term transaction.  I've had money in this fund for many years and I closed it (sold my shares) in 2021.

If it's a mutual fund and you had dividends reinvested, there were many purchases over the years. You can enter the word Various for the date acquired. If you did not have dividends reinvested, enter your best estimate of the date that you originally acquired the fund.
