What if I do not want to give that information because I consider it not relavant for the yearly tax computation ?
(It is hard to get that information as well). I want to pay taxes on the distribution yes but not burdened by filing out unrelavant information for IRS to make their job easier. TurboTax program does not care what number I enter there. And it does not change my tax computation. So why even do it ? Please explain. Thanks. Pradip Shah
If you are filing Form 5329 Part IV regarding a Roth IRA,
TurboTax needs the value to calculate the Additional Tax, Line 25.
This is to your advantage. TurboTax certainly does care and you should too.
