This is supposed to be free. AARP did my filing last year. I do not have to file any more but they recommended it to keep my social security from being used.

You should be able to file for free using TurboTax if you had minimal income and a simple tax return requirement. You can start a return for free in TurboTax and you will be notified if you are being upgraded to a program you have to pay for as you proceed.

You may want to file a tax return in 2020 if you did not receive your stimulus payments, but otherwise I'm not sure why you would want to file a tax return.
