SS benefit - both collecting, spouse benefit

If my spouse is collecting SS (low amount) and I am collecting SS (higher amount) and I die first, does my spouse's benefit switch over to my benefit? That is the higher amount? Long term marriage, etc.

A widow or widower can receive up to 100% of a spouse's benefit amount. That's if the survivor has reached full retirement age at the time of the application.
