Social Security

No, it's not necessary to take taxes out of your social security check but you may want to if you have other income which causes your social security becomes income to become taxable. Social security income may be taxed up to 85%.

If you don't want to have taxes withheld from your social security checks but you will owe income taxes on social security income and other income you may have, you can do estimated tax payments.
