Should I receive a 1099-R for a 403b retirement plan?

Your contribution is reported in box 12 of your W-2 with the letter code E or BB. You wont receive a 1099-R unless you have a distribution from your 403(b) account.

Husband passed Dec 2022 Received a 1099R for $976.08 for 2023. Box 7 marked 7. Turbo asking me if I want to roll into my existing IRA or in a new one. Advice???
