Your contribution is reported in box 12 of your W-2 with the letter code E or BB. You wont receive a 1099-R unless you have a distribution from your 403(b) account.

SSA benefits received in 2023, withdrawn in 2023 and paid back once request letter was received in January , 2024 paid in full
