I have a TRowe Retirement Account that I participated in 2020. Can not figure out where this contribution goes using Turbo Tax Business Home Edition

Retirement amount data entry

If you are using TurboTax CD/downloaded Home and Business version and you are trying to enter information about a self-employed retirement account, start by going to the Business tab at the top of the screen.  Then, scroll down to Less Common Business Situations and click Start or Update beside Self-Employed Retirement.

If you are trying to enter information about IRA contributions (not related to self-employment income), use the following steps to get started:

  • On the top row of the TurboTax online screen, click on Search (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax locate the search box in the upper right corner)
  • This opens a box where you can type in “IRA contributions” and click the magnifying glass (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax, click Find)
  • The search results will give you an option to “Jump to IRA contributions
  • Click on the blue “Jump to IRA contributions” link and enter your information
