I retired from the US Air Force 1 Sep 2015, living in OH, and my retirement income was not taxed. I moved to NC 15 Jan 2016 for employment. Is my military retirement income taxable in NC?

Is my us military retirement income taxable for north carolina

Yes, military retirement is taxed

Retirees with five years of service as of August 12, 1989 are fully exempt. For everyone else, military retired pay is taxed, but up to $4,000 ($8,000 for married filing jointly) may be excluded.

@TurboTaxMaryK1

The 4,000/8,000 exclusion disappeared for NC back ~2013.

It looks like it is still an allowed exemption $4,000 or $8,000 filing married filing joint for military retired pay but how this is entered in turbotax is the issue.  How is this entered in Turbotax?
