This worked for me and I was able to clear my errors to file.
Not sure what method you are referring to that worked for you. However, I believe Turbo Tax may have now corrected the issue of the TT program defaulting to a "qualified plan" list of questions even though the plan that is being reported is actually "Non Qualified" and should be reported as such. (Still haven't officially read anything from TT that the issue was actually resolved.) I went back through the entry sequence for reporting my 1099R from DFAS and selected "Non-Qualified" plan. The TT program took me to one more screen. I selected what applied to my particular circumstances and the 1099R entry was complete. Hopefully, the numbers also flowed to the correct area of the return. It sure would have saved a lot of time and frustration (and to some who have posted, money) if Tubo Tax had a way of reporting obvious program errors directly to them!
A TurboTax software update has corrected the issue that you experienced.
