taxable amount on IRA in MA

Under the section that asks about Taxable IRA/Kehoe, there are two questions

Other Contributions Previously Taxed by Massachusetts:  I contributed to my IRA while living in NJ, not in MA, so I assume I put Zero for contributions taxed in MA.

Total Distributions Received in Previous Years.  I have withdrawn from same IRA since living in MA.  Am I to include the amount I withdrew while residing in MA under "Total Distributions Received in Previous Years" -- meaning previous years that I resided in MA?  Thank you !

Because you made the contributions while you were in New Jersey, you are correct that zero for the amount previously taxed in Massachusetts.

The total distribution received in previous years would be the amount you received as a Massachusetts resident. Since you have no previously taxed contributions, there is no previously taxable amount but you still want to enter the correct amount.
