Where is it asking for an employment category?  For Occupation?  Doesn't matter what you enter for Occupation.  It doesn't affect your tax return.  Just enter the 1099R and SSA-1099 for Social Security.

Your retirement income from Form 1099-R and your Social Security Income from Form 1099-SSA are reported under the Wages and Income Section of TurboTax. Follow the steps below to enter:

  1. Open or continue your return
  2. In the Federal section, select Wages & Income
  3. Scroll to locate Retirement Plans and Social Security, and select Show more
  4. Select Start or Revisit next to IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)
  5. Once you enter your 1099-R, you can enter your Form 1099-SSA.

For more information, ‌ refer to the TurboTax Help article Where do I enter my 1099-R?  and Where do I enter an SSA-1099? For specific instructions.
