You would actually have a Payer's TIN instead of an employer's ID number. It would be located below the payer's name and address box.

Instructions to enter Form CSA 1099-R
When you started the "Proper" CSA-1099-R form, TTX actually puts in teh proepr name address and FEIN for you.
IF your software is asking for that number...then you would appear to be attempting to enter your form as a standard 1099-R and did not select the proper form as a CSA-1099-R (or CSF-1099-R) when you fist entered the 1099-R retirement section.
