This is still a major problem with the TurboTax software that needs to be fixed.
I am using the online version and have the same issue with MA non taxable pension.
Deleting and reentering 1099-R's multiple times did not fix the problem. I've tried everything, this is a TT Software issue they need to address.
I already paid to e file and the software won't e file. Tells me to print out the file and mail it.
Worse than that, I can't even manually update the Mass tax forms online to print out so I now have to fill out printed versions of the Mass Tax forms from the Mass DOR site. Exactly what a tax software program I paid for is supposed to do for you.
I will not use Turbo tax next year after 8 years due to this very frustrating software error!
Turbo tax online sucks in that you don't have access to the actual tax forms so you can check the line item entries and easily edit to overcome software deficiencies such as this. They want to keep you in the dark regarding very straightforward tax rules so TT has full control and you are blind to what is actually happening.
Now I'll have the super hassle of trying to get my State e file money refunded. I'm sure that will be another frustrating experience.
